Ahhhhh. Providian Bancorp wants me to stop using their wittle logo.

Those poor wittle Providiots want me to stop using their wittle logo. Pooooooooooooor babies.
I knew that a request like this would be inevitable. I am going to guess, however, that they are not going to like my response to this lame request.
Here's the letter they sent me:

Needless to say I denied their request.
Final Acts of Desperation Providian credits back 100% of the Abtronics charges

My October activity statement is now online. Interestingly, Providian is launching a last minute desperate attempt to “right their wrongs” by crediting back 100% of the Abtronic Charges as well as the finance charges and late charges since May 2003. Only problem now is that they’re still showing a balance.

Notice that the credits all appear with a plus sign (+) next to them while the only charge on the statement indicatates no plus sign. That also accounts for the balance going from $5,096.21 in the September statement down to $4,415.74 on the October activity statement. (Both printed off of their site.)
The question is this...
Why is Providian just now starting to take me seriously? Why are they just now finally crediting ALL of the charges from Abtronic back to my account? Chew on that one awhile. Post your thoughts in the user forum and let us know what you think is going on.
