Unbelievably, Providian does something even more stupid

I received a very thick manila envelope in the mail over the weekend from my buddies at Providian. For some reason, “Carlos Argueta” with Providian felt compelled to mail me a copy of every statement I have ever had with Providian. Not because I asked them to. They just did it. Then they claim that the statements are proof of the transactions I have authorized on my account.
Hmmmmmm.... I ask them for sales drafts (months ago, prior to settling my account) and they send me statements. Do you think it is possible that Providiots don’t know the difference between sales drafts and statements?
Here is their dumberer letter.

I now have an OCC Case Number

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency wrote me back today. I now have a case number. It is 439341! The notice from the OCC promises to investigate this case and get back to me within 60 days.

Well I got another email from someone else that just doesn’t get it. One more bozo that thinks maybe I should have tried to contact Abtronic (DUH) Like I didn’t leave 50 bazzillion messages on their stupid phone menu system.
At any rate, this is another fine example of brain-dead credit card employees that believe all the bull ca ca they have been spoon-fed by their employers. Nobody seems to want to admit that Providian did anything wrong at all. HELLO??!!?!?!
